The white cup shaped flowers are borne in clusters and open with the leaves in late April or early May. Fruits small and shiny, reddish purple, bitter or sweet to taste. Stunning autumnal foliage turning golden yellow through crimson.
Impressive tree for woodland edges and shelter belts. Suits most soil types. Has attractive white blossom and leaves turn yellow in autumn.
