Additional info
Pear Concorde is a modern dessert pear that is a hybrid cross combining the reliable productivity and elongated shape of the Conference pear with the rich, sweet flavour of Doyenné du Comice.
Medium to large, elegantly shaped fruit with a long, slightly tapered neck and a bulbous lower half. The skin is pale green, often featuring light golden russeting and sometimes a soft pinkish-red flush where exposed to the sun.
Dense, juicy, and smooth-textured flesh with a sweet, mild vanilla-scented flavour.
Picked in autumn (typically late September to October) while still firm and mature, then ripened indoors at room temperature to achieve a succulent texture.
Partially or mostly self-fertile, meaning it will crop well on its own, though yields improve when planted near another compatible pollination partner (such as Conference, Williams, or Doyenné du Comice)
