Juicy, greenish-yellow to golden-yellow flesh. It is sharp and firm if picked early for cooking (ideal for jams, pies, tarts, and crumbles), or sweet and rich if left to fully ripen on the tree for dessert use.

Large, oval to round plums that ripen from a fine purple to deep blue-black with a powdery, dusky bloom.

Late September through October, making it one of the latest-cropping European plums available to extend the harvest.

Self-fertile, meaning it can produce a good crop on its own.

Hardy across the UK, disease-resistant, and frost-resistant due to flowering later in the season.
