Crataegus Laevigata (Oxyacantha) Rosea – Ornamental Double Flowering Pink Hawthorn

One of the prettiest of hawthorn trees with masses of double pink flowers in early summer, followed by red berries and a glorious display of autumn foliage.

Abundant, double, dusky-pink flowers in May that look like tiny roses.

Glossy, dark-green, shallow-lobed deciduous leaves that turn warm shades of yellow, orange, and bronze in autumn.

Small red berries (haws) in autumn that are loved by birds, though the seeds contain toxins and the fruit is not meant for human consumption.

Reaches an eventual height and spread of roughly 4 to 8 metres (around 13–26 ft), making it ideal for small, wildlife, or cottage gardens.

Very hardy and highly resilient, tolerating urban pollution, exposed windy/coastal sites, and various soil types (clay, loam, sand, chalk).
