Crimson buds opening to very attractive pale blush flowers in early to mid- summer. Small red and yellow fruits hang in abundant clusters.
- Flowers: Masses of deep crimson buds open in spring (April–May) into pale pink or white star-like blossoms, completely covering the branches.
- Foliage: Simple, refined green leaves that transition to a warm bronze tone in autumn.
- Fruit: Small, round crab apples (about 1 cm in diameter) that ripen from green-yellow to red in autumn and persist into winter as wildlife food.
- Size & Shape: Grows with a round, dense, and spreading habit featuring gracefully arching branches. Reaches an estimated 4 to 6 meters wide and high in 20 years, with a mature height of 8 to 12 meters.
