Salix alba – White willow

A familiar native species of water meadows and river sides. A large, elegant and vigorous tree with slender drooping branches. Silky hairy leaves give the tree a silvery appearance. Catkins appear with young leaves in the spring.

The planting season for bare-rooted trees and shrubs is generally between the months of November – March
